A few years ago, we realized that turkey wasn’t our favorite food. Yeah, I can brine it and make a good one, but why go through all the trouble? What we really want is pozole. A pork and hominy stew/soup that is very hearty. It takes a couple of days to make properly, but then you’re eating for a month. Just like turkey, but better in my opinion. Pretty low key affair this year, but we had some fun. Tias Susy and Diana, and primo Jordan came over to feast. A bit of talking to tia Angie in Toronto, some dancing, some food, and followed up with some bowling. Hard to beat that.
