What a wonderful time in Puerto Morelos celebrating Cleo’s 80th birthday. It was the first time in many years that all the brothers and sisters were able to gather together.  Plenty of sunshine and a tropical storm or two just to liven up the party.  It was so great to see everyone! Such a special experience.

On Sunday, we flew out to Cancún for a nice 5 day vacation at the Crown Paradise Resort.  It is an all-inclusive resort.  We had access to all the food, drinks, swimming, beach that we could handle.  In fact, we never even left the resort.  They had a kids area that had fountains and water slides that the kids loved.  They had 4 pools (one was adults only, so we didn’t go there), all you can eat food and drinks breakfast lunch and dinner.  They have about 6 bars which we didn’t go to.

All right on a beautiful beach, where they had parasailing and waverunner rides.  One day Matthew and I got to go parasailing, and I think we had good luck with the boat pulling us.  It was called “Iliana”.  We had a beautiful view of the beach from way up in the air, and I got some neat photos.  While we did that, Sofia had to get her hair done up in pretty braids, and she is very proud of those.  The next day, Matthew and I got to ride a wave runner, which was a lot of fun out on the ocean with the waves.

We also spent a lot of time in the different pools, and playing in the waves on the beach.  We spent so much time swimming this past week, I think Matt and Sofia are going to grow fins.  Iliana got to show of her bikini body she’s been working so hard for.  I’m very proud of her and I certainly wasn’t complaining about the view!

We ate, and ate, and ate.  Breakfasts with chilaquiles, or omelettes made to order, smoothies.  Lunch of tacos al pastor, fresh fruits, again anything we wanted.  And there was a lot of coffee with pan dulce.  I had to keep reminding Iliana that we were on vacation, and that enjoying that stuff was what we were supposed to be doing!

We had a wonderful time and we have many fond memories that will last a lifetime.
